Impressions

Outward impressions can be misleading. It's in the Bible, I Samuel 16:7, TLB. "But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Don’t judge by a man's face or height, for this is not the one. I don't make decisions the way you do! Men judge by outward appearance, but I look at a man's thoughts and intentions."

The impressions we try to make don't fool God. It's in the Bible, Luke 16:15, "Then He said to them, 'You wear a noble, pious expression in public, but God knows your evil hearts. Your pretense brings you honor from the people, but it is an abomination in the sight of God."
